C.N. Annadurai (1909-1969) was the sixth chief minister of Tamilnadu, a prolific writer, playwright, editor of many magazines including the English weekly Home Land. He was one of the most important politicians in India during the twentieth century. This book is a collection of his 14 selected short stories, published on the occasion of his centenary year. Annadurai has written more than a hundred short stories. Edited by writer Perumalmurugan, stories that are most relevant to today's readers are part of the collections. In his detailed foreword Perumalmurugan introduces the stories as a window to Anna's times, lives of oppressed people then, and women's situation during his times, they also give us a glimpse of Anna's thoughts on the social situations of his times.
